On 30th November, Almarc Engineering proudly contributed to Singapore’s environmental effort by sponsoring a ‘Plant-a-Tree’ event as part of Almarc’s Environment Day 2024.

This initiative supports the 1 Million Trees Movement led by NParks [About the Movement]. It is one of the key initiatives of the Singapore Green Plan 2030, aiming to create a greener and more sustainable Singapore and its resilience towards climate change (https://www.greenplan.gov.sg).

Held at Woodlands Ave 12 Park Connector (use QR code at right for location), the event saw Almarc staff and guests coming together with an NParks’ team to plant 50 trees. Despite an initially cloudy morning, the skies eventually cleared, blessing the event with beautiful weather. Enthusiasm and team spirit were high as participants enjoyed this hands-on greening activity.

Almarc’s Environment Day highlights its commitment to sustainability, not just within the Company, but as part of Singapore’s larger environmental goals. By sponsoring this initiative, Almarc aims to inspire greater awareness among staff about their role in advancing the Company’s sustainability agenda as well as fostering a culture of co-responsibility and action for a more sustainable future.

The event concluded with a delicious 8-course lunch hosted by MD Alvin Cher at a nearby coffeehouse, providing an opportunity for everyone to rest, bond and reflect on the day’s achievement.
